Stomper was very cool
Hi everyone we just got back Alanta Georgia.
We were at the StomperNet Seminar. The hosts were Brad Fallon and Andy Jenkins, they were really cool. This was our first time at Stomper. I think this was the fourth one they had. There were over 500 people there, which was okay if you like a lot of people in one place.
I thought it was a workshop for search engine optimization, but it wasn't.
The speakers gave great content and value to the seminar and there was know pitchen of there products.
They had some pretty cool speakers that I haven't heard before. I will give you a rundown of who they were.
Friday night. It was the registration, and it was about 250 people there. Saturday morning, when registration opened up. There is more than 500 people there. This would've been okay, if they all would have registered early, but only about half of them did. Try to remember that, if you're going to a seminar, please register and tell them that you are coming. Thats is the right thing to do. They were not expecting that many people. Luckily, they had a big enough room to hold all of them. They would be pretty upset if they got turned away because there was not enough room.
Anyway, Saturday morning around 8:15 a.m They got started with:
Leslie Rohde spoke on Advance SEO, which was really cool. It was over my head. But Lori knew what he was talking about. If you ever get a chance to listen to Leslie. You should do it.
The keynote speaker Rich Shafren spoke on Strategies for Building Your Internet Business Fast.
Dan Thies spoke on Pay Per Click, and Advanced Adwords.
One of my favorite speakers Mike Filsaime spoke on the Key Metrics of Growing Internet Business Profits. As usual. It was great.
Cody Moya was there, and speaking on Viral List Building.
Ken McCarthy spoke about Customer Retention: A Key to Success. This was very cool because taking care of your customers is the most important thing you can do for your business. Remember your customers are your business.
Sunday was another good day, started off with:
Nancy Andrews -David vs Goliath: Winning the New, Tougher Game of List Building.
And for about 40 minutes. They had a young lady from Hackersafe and she spoke on-Increasing Your Online Sales. Having the hackersafe logo on your site will help increase sales. By the way if you are making $20,ooo or more you are required by law to do what they call a PCI.
Brock Felt and Buck Rizvi spoke on Co- registration: a strategy for getting Massive Traffic Without any Search Engines-what the big brands can teach us.
And they were others like Don Crowther, Robin Cowie, Gary Ambrose, which were all good.
Dave Taylor spoke about Blogging and Social Networking. He was really cool.
That was the end. It ended around 6:30 p.m. some people stayed because they were having something special on Monday. Lori and I had a great time listening to new speakers that we haven't heard before. And networking with people we haven't seen before.
It's so important for you to go to seminars. So you can meet new people that are doing the same thing you're doing. Going to seminars and networking helps you stay focused. And that's what we all need time to time.
The information alone that you get from speaking to different people, is worth millions. Hope to see you all at one of the seminars so we can get hooked up. And maybe do some business together or just do some brainstorming.
See y'all soon
